Privacy policy
In short: nothing about the child is kept. No name, no age, no contact details, and their voice is never recorded.
Draft: not yet reviewed by a lawyer, and it may change before the beta opens to everyone.
Last updated: October 17, 2026
The child
The dentist is never asked for anything about the child, and the app has nowhere to write it. The screen over the chair only shows and plays: it has no microphone and no camera, so the child's voice and picture are never recorded.
- No name, exact age or date of birth
- No phone number, email or address
- No voice, photo or video
What we keep about each run
We keep each run's details and ratings to improve HeroChair, with no end date, because they don't identify any child:
- A hero name from our list (like "Space Hero"), the animal and the cape colour
- The age band (3–5, 6–8 or 9–12), not the age
- The day but not the time, how long the run lasted, and the stars
- What happened: each cue and whether it was by voice or touch, and the pauses, in seconds from the start
- The dentist's rating and the child's reaction (😀 😐 😟), and the parent's rating once that's available
Dentists
Dentists sign in through auth.internhack.sa. We keep their name and email, preferred language and appearance, country, screens, runs, and their beta pass and what they paid.
A dentist who asks for free access also gives us what they wrote in the request: the clinic's name, city and country, a phone number if they gave one, how many chairs, and why they're interested.
When the dentist speaks a cue, the audio goes straight from their phone to Amazon Transcribe to become text. We keep neither the audio nor the text.
Parent accounts (coming soon)
Once saving runs is available, a parent or guardian can create an account to save their child's run and watch it later. Accounts are for adults only (over 18).
The account will keep: the email from sign-in, the runs you save (the day, the dentist's name, and what happened), and your rating and thanks to the dentist if you leave them.
Before your first save we ask for your explicit consent, because a saved run says your child saw this dentist on that day. "Delete my account" deletes all of it at once. The run itself stays, with no link to you.
The contact form
What you send through the contact form (your name, email, topic and message) reaches our team by email. We keep it for a year, then delete it. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to keep automated messages out.
Who helps us
We never sell data or share it for advertising. We use:
- Cloudflare: hosting for the site, the app and the database
- Amazon Web Services: Hala's voice on the screen, turning the dentist's spoken cues into text, and sending contact-form messages
- Dodo Payments: payments, as the merchant of record. It gets only the dentist's name, email and country
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we keep about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, through the contact form. We reply within 30 days.
Who we are
HeroChair is made by Internhack Company, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. For any privacy question: contact us.
Where you live
Your country's section opens if you've chosen it at the bottom of the page.
United States
We don't collect personal information from children under 13: no name, no voice, no picture (COPPA). Parent accounts are for adults only.
In Washington, Nevada and Connecticut, a run saved in a parent's account is consumer health data: we keep it only with your consent, never sell or share it, and you can delete it at any time.
California and other states: we don't sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
European Union and United Kingdom
We process dentists' data to provide the service, and parent account data with the parent's explicit consent. You have the right to access, correct, delete and move your data, and to object, and you can complain to your country's data protection authority.
Run details don't identify anyone, so they aren't personal data.
Saudi Arabia
We follow the Personal Data Protection Law. You can know what we keep about you and ask us to correct or destroy it.
